Liquid paint, solvents, gasoline, motor oil, pesticides, pool chemicals, cleaning agents.

Asbestos & Lead

Any material containing asbestos, lead paint debris, or pre-1990 insulation requires a licensed abatement contractor.

Heads-Up Items

Some Items Require a Heads-Up.

While we take most things, certain heavy, dense or regulated items need to be declared during booking. Snap a photo in the app so we send the right truck — and lock in the right price.

How to declare in-app

Three taps before you book

  • 1. Tap "Add item" in the booking flow
  • 2. Pick the category (heavy / electronic / large)
  • 3. Snap a photo — we lock your flat rate

Large Appliances

Fridges, freezers, AC units — we partner with certified refrigerant recovery centres. Declare so we dispatch the right truck.

Declare in app

Mattresses & Box Springs

We accept mattresses, but if bed bugs are suspected they must be fully wrapped in sealed heavy-duty plastic before pickup.

Wrap if suspect

Heavy / Dense Debris

Tile, brick, soil, concrete offcuts — strict weight limits apply per bag. Photo helps us quote without surprises on-site.

Pianos, Safes & Pool Tables

Specialty items requiring extra crew or dollies. Always custom-quoted — never auto-confirmed via standard booking.

The Refusal Policy

If the pile doesn't match the booking, we don't load it.

Competitors say "we take everything" — then surprise you with on-site upcharges or quietly leave hazardous items behind.

Our policy is different: disclose your items honestly in the app, see your flat-rate price, and we'll honour it. If our driver arrives to find hidden hazards or a concrete pile sold as "a few light bags," we reserve the right to refuse the pickup or re-quote before loading. It protects everyone.

FAQ

Quick answers

Can you take old paint cans?
We cannot take liquid paint. However, if it is latex paint and you have completely dried it out (by leaving the lid off or mixing it with kitty litter / paint hardener until solid), we can accept the dried cans.
Do you take mattresses with bed bugs?
For driver safety and to prevent cross-contamination, we cannot accept mattresses or furniture infested with bed bugs unless they have been professionally treated and fully wrapped/sealed in heavy-duty plastic prior to our arrival.
What is the weight limit for bags?
For standard subscription or on-demand pickup, no single bag should exceed 40 lbs (18 kg). If bags are too heavy to lift safely without tearing, the driver may refuse them or require you to split the contents.
Can I mix yard waste with regular garbage?
It depends on your municipality's rules, but we prefer yard waste bagged separately in paper yard bags. This lets us divert it to composting facilities rather than landfill.
Do you dismantle furniture?
Our standard service is pickup and removal — items should be ready for transport. If a large item (like a shed or oversized desk) requires dismantling to fit through doors or onto the truck, please do this prior to arrival, or request a custom quote for light demolition.
