What We Take (And What We Don't)
To ensure safety and compliance, we only accept specific light construction materials. Review this list before submitting your photos in the app.
How to Get Your Debris Approved
Because construction debris often hides restricted materials, we require photo verification before dispatching a driver. This prevents wasted time, unexpected refusals at your curb, and ensures we quote you accurately.
Photo Submission Checklist
-
1. The Wide Shot
Take a clear photo showing the entire pile of debris in its current location. This helps us gauge total volume and access.
-
2. The Close-Up
Snap 1-2 close-up photos of mixed bags or piles so our team can verify there is no hidden concrete, wet paint, or hazardous material.
-
3. Note Heavy Items
In the app description, explicitly list any dense items (like a stack of tiles or solid wood doors) so we can calculate weight constraints.
-
4. Submit for Review
Upload via the Bag & Book it app. Our dispatch team reviews your submission (usually within 15 minutes during business hours) and issues your upfront price.
From Mess to Gone in 4 Steps
Our app-based workflow gives you predictability. No waiting around for a contractor to "swing by and give you a price."

Track Pickup
Track your driver's arrival in real-time. We load the debris, sweep the area, and haul it away.
Prep & Containment Rules
Proper prep prevents pickup failures. To protect our drivers and ensure efficient loading, all debris must be prepared according to these guidelines.
Bagged Debris (Drywall, Plaster, Small Scraps)
All loose, dusty, or small debris MUST be contained in heavy-duty contractor bags (minimum 3 mil thickness). Standard kitchen garbage bags will rip and result in a refused pickup. Do not overfill bags — they must be tied shut securely.
Weight Limits
No single bag, bundle, or item can exceed 50 lbs (22 kg). If a driver cannot safely lift it, it will be left behind.
Bundled Wood & Trim
Lumber, baseboards, and trim must be cut down to a maximum length of 4 feet and securely tied into bundles with twine or rope. Nails and screws must be removed or hammered flat to prevent injury.
Nails & Sharps
Exposed nails in wood are a severe safety hazard. All nails must be bent over or removed. Broken glass/tiles must be boxed, not bagged.
Consolidated Piles
All debris must be gathered into one central location (e.g., driveway, garage, or curb). We do not collect items scattered across multiple rooms or backyard areas.
Site Access & Logistics
Clear access is critical for a successful pickup. Review these common logistical requirements before booking.
Parking & Loading Area
Our trucks require safe, legal parking within 30 feet of the debris pile. If you live on a busy street with no parking, or if the driveway is blocked, we cannot complete the pickup. Please ensure the loading zone is clear of vehicles before the driver arrives.
Condo & Apartment Rules
If you live in a multi-residential building, you are responsible for booking the service elevator and ensuring building management permits debris removal during your scheduled window. Debris must be brought down to the designated loading dock; our drivers do not enter units to carry out construction waste.
Clear Path of Travel
The path from the debris pile to the truck must be clear of snow, ice, mud, and tripping hazards. If the debris is in a backyard, gates must be unlocked and wide enough for safe passage. We do not carry debris over fences or through finished living spaces.
Inclement Weather
If your debris includes materials that become excessively heavy when wet (like drywall or unbagged insulation), it must be covered with a tarp if stored outside. Waterlogged debris may exceed weight limits and incur additional fees or refusal.
How We Price Light Loads
Construction debris is priced differently than standard household junk. Because disposal facilities charge by weight for construction materials, our app calculates your upfront quote based on several variables.
Get Your Quote in the App1. Volume (Space in the Truck)
Like all junk removal, the base price is determined by how much space your debris takes up in our truck. Fluffy materials like insulation take up volume, while dense materials take up weight.
2. Weight & Density
Construction materials (tiles, wet wood, drywall) are incredibly dense. A small pile of tile weighs significantly more than a large pile of cardboard. Weight directly impacts our municipal disposal fees.
3. Sorting & Processing
Mixed loads (wood mixed with drywall and plastic) are more expensive to dispose of than clean, separated loads (e.g., just clean wood). If your load requires significant sorting at the transfer station, it affects the price.
4. Distance & Access
If the debris is located far from the truck parking area, or requires navigating stairs or long pathways, a labor surcharge may apply. Having everything curbside or in the driveway results in the lowest price.
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our light construction debris removal service.
Do you take concrete or bricks?
No. We specialize in "light" construction debris. Heavy aggregates like concrete, brick, soil, and asphalt exceed the weight capacities of our standard trucks and require specialized heavy-haul bins.
Can I leave nails in the wood?
For the safety of our drivers, all nails and screws must be bent over flat or completely removed. Protruding nails will result in a refused pickup.
Do I have to bag drywall?
Yes. All drywall, plaster, and dusty debris must be secured in heavy-duty contractor bags. Loose drywall creates a massive mess during transport and will not be accepted.
Why do I need to use the app?
The Bag & Book it app allows you to upload photos of your debris. This lets our dispatch team verify the materials are allowed and provide you with a firm, upfront price before anyone drives to your house.
Are there hidden dump fees?
No. The price quoted in the app includes all labor, transportation, and municipal disposal fees. The only time a price changes is if the pile is significantly larger or heavier than what was shown in the photos.
Do you charge by weight or volume?
Both factor into the quote. A truckload of fluffy insulation is priced mostly on volume, while a half-truckload of dense tile is priced heavily on weight due to transfer station tipping fees.
Do I need to be home?
If the debris is accessible outside (driveway, curb) and you have pre-paid/confirmed via the app, you do not need to be home. The driver will upload an "after" photo when the job is done.
Will you carry debris out of my basement?
No. For liability and safety reasons, all construction debris must be consolidated in an accessible ground-floor location, garage, or driveway prior to our arrival.
How fast can you pick it up?
Depending on driver availability in your area, we often offer same-day or next-day service once your photos are approved in the app.
