To keep our crews safe and your pricing accurate, we need clear access. Here is what you need to know before we arrive.
Navigating Stairs
Moving heavy bulk items down stairs requires extra time, specialized equipment, and additional crew safety measures. You must disclose if your item requires stairs during the app booking process. Failure to disclose stairs may result in a price adjustment on arrival or, in severe cases, refusal of service if the crew cannot safely execute the move.
Condo & Apartment Elevators
If you live in a building with an elevator, you are responsible for booking the service elevator with your property management prior to our arrival window. We cannot hold up passenger elevators with large furniture. If the service elevator is not booked and available, we may have to reschedule your pickup (cancellation fees may apply).
Truck Parking & Distance
Our trucks need safe, legal parking as close to the item as possible. If your driveway is inaccessible, or if we must park far down the street requiring a long manual carry, please disclose this in the app. Long carries add significant time to the job and may incur an additional handling fee.
Clear Paths & Disassembly
The path from the item to the door must be clear of clutter, rugs, and breakables. We do not disassemble complex furniture (like IKEA wardrobes or bunk beds) or disconnect hardwired appliances. Items must be unhooked, empty, and ready to move when we arrive. If an item is too large to fit through a doorway, it must be disassembled by you beforehand.

How much space the item takes up in our truck. A fully assembled dining table costs more to transport than one broken down flat.
Weight & Density
Heavy items like sleeper sofas, solid oak dressers, or wet mattresses require more labor and incur higher disposal fees at the transfer station.
Disposal & Eco Fees
Certain items (like refrigerators with freon or mattresses) carry mandatory environmental processing fees at Ontario disposal facilities, which are factored into your quote.

We reserve the right to refuse pickup or adjust pricing on arrival if:
- The item is significantly larger or heavier than the photos submitted.
- Undisclosed access issues exist (e.g., 3 flights of stairs not mentioned).
- The item contains hazardous materials, bedbugs, or biological waste not disclosed.
- The item cannot safely fit through doorways without structural modification.

What qualifies as a bulk item?
Bulk items are oversized household items that don't fit in standard waste bins, such as couches, mattresses, large appliances, dining tables, and large electronics. If it requires two people to lift safely, it's a bulk item.
Why do I need to upload photos in the app?
Photos allow us to verify the item's size, weight, and condition. This ensures we send the right vehicle, provide an accurate upfront price, and guarantees your item won't be refused on arrival because it was larger than expected.
Will you carry items down stairs?
Yes, but this must be disclosed during the booking process in the app. Navigating stairs requires specific handling and may affect the final price. Undisclosed stairs may result in a refusal or price adjustment.
Do I need to be home for the pickup?
If the item is located outside (like on a driveway or curb) and is fully accessible, you do not need to be home. We will pick it up and process payment via the app. If the item is inside your home, an adult must be present to grant access.
What items will you NOT take?
